Jonathan Convery, CPA
Jonathan is a long-time Flagler County resident and graduate of the University of North Florida, where he obtained his master’s degree in finance in 2008. He obtained his CPA license in 2013 and opened Convery Tax and Accounting in 2016. Jonathan prides himself on ensuring all clients’ needs are met by providing knowledge and expertise that comes with his many years of experience in finance and accounting. Outside of accounting, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.
Janet Stevens, Receptionist
Janet started with the firm in 2023 and enjoys creating a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who walks through the door. Janet handles administrative tasks and has become an asset to the team. She takes pride in staying organized, providing excellent customer service, and helping keep the office running smoothly. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and working-out.
Sara Bailey, CPA Tax Manager
Sara has been a valued member of the firm since 2018. Through her dedication, expertise, and commitment to professional excellence, she earned her CPA license and now serves as the firm’s Tax Manager. Sara specializes in tax planning, preparation, and compliance for individuals and businesses, providing thoughtful guidance and personalized service to help clients achieve their financial goals. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, exercising, and finding time to relax in the kitchen experimenting with new recipes.
Suzanne Young, CPA
Suzanne is a detail driven CPA with over 30 years of experience in the industry with a strong focus on accounting and tax. She joined the firm in 2024 and has been an asset to the team.
Tanya Anderson, Senior Accountant/Payroll Manager
Tanya has over 17 years in the accounting industry and has worked with dozens of Small Business Owners in ensuring their books are accurate and filings are current. She also oversees all the company’s quarterly payroll filings for the many S-Corp owners that we run payroll for. In her spare time, Tanya enjoys practicing yoga.
Kay Spears, Enrolled Agent, Staff Accountant
Kay joined Convery Tax & Accounting in 2021 and is an Enrolled Agent. She specializes in individual and small business taxation while also assisting clients with accounting and payroll needs. With more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry and six years with the City of Palm Coast, Kay brings a strong financial background and a client-focused approach to her work. She is committed to providing knowledgeable, personalized service to individuals and small business owners. When she’s not working with clients, Kay enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and making the most of Florida’s sunshine and coastal lifestyle.
Connor Slattery, Senior Accountant
Connor joined the firm in 2025, bringing his passion for helping business owners. Specializing in internal controls and financial reporting, Connor helps business owners maintain confidence and clarity in their numbers. Out of the office, Connor enjoys traveling to learn about different cultures and to visit friends and family.
Justin Perez, Enrolled Agent, Staff Accountant
Justin is an Enrolled Agent with experience in tax preparation, accounting, and bookkeeping for individuals and small businesses. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Florida International University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree & CPA License. Outside of work, Justin enjoys working on cars.
Jeremiah Mahoney, Enrolled Agent, Staff Accountant
Jeremiah is an enrolled agent specializing in tax preparation. As a lifelong learner and graduate of the University of Florida, Jeremiah always excels at staying up to date on tax code and assisting clients through his extensive knowledge base. Jeremiah is also an owner of Flagler Dental Associates. In his spare time, Jeremiah enjoys spending time with his family and pets and loves all things sports.
Tanner Araujo, Intern
Tanner started with the firm in 2026 and is currently in the process of obtaining his CPA License. He specializes in Individual Taxes while also working alongside Small Business Owners with accounting and payroll. Tanner also enjoys working out, golfing and fishing when he is not in the office.
Maxine Convery, Office Helper
Maxine is Jonathan’s daughter and is responsible for bringing smiles to both staff and clients. She has no accounting experience but really enjoys math and reading. Maxine is a competitive gymnast and enjoys surfing in her spare time.
